This is a different type of blog post than you normally see form me, I want to tell you about a soon to be released gardening book that I think will help you on your garden journey. The new gardening book is from my Garden Coach mentor Nicole Johnsey Burke and it’s hitting bookshelves just after Earth day! (Release date is set for April 25th.) Nicole is following up her first book, “Kitchen Garden Revival” with “Leaves, Roots & Fruit”. In this book she is teaching her unique step by step gardening system based around plant life stages, ease of growing, time from sowing or transplanting to maturity. The book is packed with information! I was able to read the chapter on salad gardening and loved it. Everything is broken down in a way that new and beginning gardeners will easily understand it. Seasoned gardeners will come away with a new way of seeing their garden plants as well as growing tips for different plant families. Adopting a specific way to garden based on one persons system can take you really far in your gardening journey. I always suggest to be inspired by as many people and gardens as possible, but to focus your growing methods on a single persons gardening methods as a form of mentorship. Give yourself a year or two with those growing methods and see how they work for you. The growing methods in this book will take you from new to experienced in a way that is easy to understand and even more important, easy to implement.
This book is going to be a great resource for new and experienced gardeners alike. I am very excited to receive my copy! There are book bonuses when you preorder that are available on the Gardenary website. You can find more information about it here: Leaves, Roots & Fruit by Nicole Johnsey Burke
