What is a kitchen garden?
According to dictionary.com a kitchen garden is: “A garden where vegetables, herbs, and fruit are grown for one’s own use.”

Also called a potager or kailyard, kitchen gardens are gardens generally close to your kitchen where you grow some of your food. It is not a homestead or giant veggie patch or row garden.
When I think of kitchen gardens I think of lush, intensively planted raised beds full of vegetables, fruits, herbs and flowers.
